Check out our dumpster material guide below for more complete information. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’re here to help make your dumpster rental as easy as possible.

Prohibited Materials

Hazardous waste, which includes materials that are flammable, toxic, hazardous or corrosive, should never be thrown in our dumpsters. Any hazardous or toxic waste found in our dumpsters becomes the responsibility of the customer and can result in a rejected load. Certain non-hazardous items are also customarily prohibited. Any non-hazardous prohibited items thrown in our dumpsters result in an extra disposal fee on your bill. Items that incur extra disposal fees are shown in green below.

Adhesives

Rather than placing glues and other adhesives in your dumpster, throw these items out in small quantities with your regular trash.

Asbestos

Asbestos is a highly dangerous mineral fiber. Licensed experts are required for any asbestos removal because it poses a health risk.

Batteries

Disposal Fee: $83.75 Each

Batteries contain chemicals, metals and corrosive materials that can be extremely dangerous.

Cleaning Products

The harsh chemicals found in most cleaning products can become hazardous if they aren’t disposed of in a certain way.

Contaminated Soil

Soil that has been in contact with hazardous material such as chemicals and vehicle oils is also hazardous and must be treated.

Fluorescent Bulbs

Disposal Fee: $83.75 Each

Fluorescent bulbs, CFLs and other bulbs that contain mercury are hazardous. Recycle these instead.

Food Waste

Food waste can attract animals and pests. Should be thrown out in your regular garbage container, not our rental dumpster.

Fuels

Fuels, like petroleum and gasoline, are highly flammable and therefore banned from landfills. Do not place in our dumpsters.

Industrial Waste

Typically contained inside industrial drums, these byproducts are hazardous and must be transported by licensed haulers.

Inks

Inks and resins contain chemicals that are unsafe for the environment and should be brought to a recycling center for proper disposal.

Mattresses

Disposal Fee: $150.00 Each

Mattresses and box springs require special handling and shouldn’t be thrown in our dumpsters.

Medical Waste

Disposal Fee: $106.75 Each

Medical waste and personal protective equipment (PPE) should be handled by licensed removal experts.

Monitors

Disposal Fee: $100.00 Each

Hazardous waste, including TVs or monitors, cannot be placed in our dumpsters.

Motor Oils

Motor oils are considered hazardous. Your local hazardous waste facility can provide best practices for disposal.

Paints

Paints, lacquers and their cans contain harmful elements. All of these materials should be disposed of separately.

Propane Tanks

Disposal Fee $83.75 Each

Due to the gas and pressure inside propane tanks, they can’t be safely thrown in our dumpsters.

Railroad Ties

Railroad ties are usually creosote-treated wood, which is a dangerous chemical. Contact local authorities to find out where you can take them.

Refrigerants

Disposal Fee: $125.00 Each

Refrigerants are dangerous and federally regulated. Appliances containing refrigerants must first be drained.

Tires

Disposal Fee: $100.00 Each

Tires must go through a special recycling process instead of being tossed in our dumpster for landfill disposal.

TVs

Disposal Fee: $125.00 Each

Hazardous waste, including TVs or monitors, cannot be placed in our dumpsters.
